Spice trading centre
Kumily, at the outskirts of Thekkady, is an important spice trading centre and handles a major share of the trade in pepper and cardamom. Besides being an auction centre, many wholesale and retail shops function here.

Munnar & Kodaikanal
Munnar, the famous hill station around the 2694 metre Anamudi peak, is 106 Km. from Kumily. It is scenic countryside en route, spiced with plantations, forests and water falls. Eravikulam National Park, the abode of the endangered Nilgiri Tahr is just 7 Km. from Munnar town.

Cumbum Valley
